Anxiety is a common and treatable problem. It does not mean that you are weak, that you are losing your mind, or that you have a personality problem. Severe anxiety (panic attack) is a problem that can be over come with treatment. OCD (obsessive/compulsive disorder) is a disorder that has a large anxiety component to it, and effective treatment for this too, is available.
Anxiety is the word used to describe the mental and physical responses one feels in their body when having an anxiety/panic attack, they include, but are not limited to:
• trembling
• shortness of breath
• choking sensation
• sweating
• feeling faint
