Born and raised in California, Joan is a 5th generation Californian. As a child her family lived in a small logging community on the north coast, later moving to the Lake Tahoe basin where she attended grade school. Her family relocated again to Sacramento where she completed her education and Nurses training. Joan’s Nursing Career began as a Critical Care Nurse, working in Intensive Care Units and Emergency Rooms. During these years she also had the opportunity to work for a Pharmaceutical Company as a Research Coordinator, overseeing clinical trials for conditions such as anxiety. Her interest in this area of anxiety and related disorders expanded over the next ten years to where she finds herself today, a Personal Life Coach.
Joan is married and resides in the Sacramento area. In addition to her work Joan is a volunteer for the Old City Cemetery Adopt-A-Plot Program and the
Make-A-Wish Foundation. She is dedicated to helping children improve their lives and a member of the Psychiatric Nurses Association. In her leisure time she is usually outdoors enjoying golf, windsurfing, biking or hiking. She describes herself as a novice watercolor artist and an avid gardener. |
